Intimate Lakeside Wedding in Sussex County

New Jersey is home to some of the most amazing lakes. In fact, Byram Township in Sussex County is literally “The Township of Lakes,” and I consider myself especially lucky to have grown up there. Kate and Alex decided to host their special day lakeside in Forest Lakes, and if you take one look at the backdrop of this beautiful place and it’s easy to see how perfect it is!

Forest Lakes has a few beach areas, so the couple decided to hold their ceremony at Harbor View Beach (talk about an amazing backdrop!) with the reception a short walk away at the Main Beach.

One thing Kate knew from the very beginning of the planning stages was that she wanted to incorporate lots of greenery into the style of her wedding day. To set the tone, we created her invitations with this overall beautiful yet simplistic theme, with a natural color palette of whites, creams and green. We paired the invitations with our “Harvest” tan envelopes, and the result was perfect.

Together we also designed coordinating Menus and large Signage to beautify the lifeguard stands visible during the ceremony. A delicious meal was served family style, followed by a partially naked wedding cake adorned with berries and an adorable topper.
