Back in October, Katlin and Kyle hosted the most beautiful destination wedding in Tucson, Arizona. Not only did I have the pleasure of creating their unique invitation suite and reception paper goods, I was also lucky enough to travel and attend the big day. Read on for all of the gorgeous details, scenery, and even a surprise visit from Ellie, a mini donkey!

The Hacienda del Sol Resort is nestled in the heart of the Catalina Foothills in Tucson, Arizona. Upon arriving there as a wedding guest myself, I could instantly see why Katlin and Kyle had fallen in love with this stunning place and decided to host their intimate wedding there.

As part of the itinerary, the couple organized a group hike the day before the wedding for guests at Sabino Canyon - one of their favorite spots. Amazing views and such a great time for all of the guests. The rest of the day consisted of sightseeing and pool time, followed by a Catalina Wine Mixer that evening!

I had such a fun experience designing Katlin and Kyle’s invitations. They wanted their paper goods to portray the fun and amazing atmosphere they had planned for the big day. We incorporated a brightly watercolored ikat pattern and whimsical script font. The couple chose a postcard option for their RSVP where we tied in a mountain and some cacti!

Together we also created many coordinating pieces for the reception and beyond. It’s always amazing to see a couple’s style carry through from the invitations to the wedding day. These pieces included a Welcome Map and Itinerary, Breakfast Voucher, Table Numbers, Escort Cards, Can Coolers and Thank You cards. We even designed photo props of their beloved kitty Finley so he could be a part of their special day!
